Job Summary

Josco Bay Homes is accepting applications for an experienced and responsible carpentry crew member to join our growing team. We want to offer you competitive pay and opportunities for advancement. Job Responsibilities

• Assist in building structures for residential, business, and construction sites.
• Participate in demolition work.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, nail guns, saws, and other tools as directed by management.
• Clean and prepare construction sites as needed.
• Read blueprints and designs.
• Cut timber and lumber to specified dimensions.
• Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations to management.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.
• Load and unload construction supplies from trucks.
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim molding, patio decks, etc.
• Travel to and from job sites in and around the Walton county region as directed by management.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of one or more years of experience in carpentry work
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the job
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials
• Excellent work ethic and stamina
• A positive, problem-solving attitude
• Willingness and aptitude to learn and advance in the trade
• Drug free; must be willing to submit to drug testing
• Dependability, trustworthiness, integrity

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent
